Preserve Memories with MyMemories Suite Digital Scrapbook Software (Review + Giveaway)

Before I had kids, I was beginning to really get into scrapbooking. I had a scrapbook full of major milestones and travels, as well as some pages full of special people in my life. I bought all of the fancy paper and embellishments and loved capturing these moments in time. Then, I got married, had children and those things left little time for me to pull out my scrapbook and get creative. Which, it should have made me more motivated to preserve these memories, but it didn’t.

Recently, I learned about digital scrapbooking and was intrigued by the idea that I could create these awesome looking pages and not have to break out the scissors, glue and embellishments. You are still able to capture special moments in your life, on unique pages, but not have to worry about the mess that can go along with it. After I downloaded MyMemories Suite Digital Scrapbook Software on my desktop, I wasted no time learning some of the features and trying my hand at creating my first album. Since winter is upon us, and I have plenty of pictures of this years snow and winter activities, I got started on a winter 2012-2013 album.

When you first access MyMemories Suite to create an album, you have the option of using a ready made album or creating your own. Since I am just a beginner, I opted for the ready-made template and went with the Holiday Snow album. You are then able to pick and choose which pages you would like to appear in your album. Then, you are ready to upload the pictures you want in the album, customize text and move embellishments to suit your taste.

This is just one of the pages from the Holiday Snow album that I customized. I uploaded the photos, changed the arrangement a bit and added the text that I wanted. Overall, it was a simple to do and I love the finished project. After I was finished, I simply saved the album as a jpeg and now I have the option to print it from my home printer or take it to any place that prints items for you.
