We were recently sent two of this year’s hottest items from Bass Pro Shops to review – the Fishin’-opoly board game and the Bass Pro Shops Outdoor Mega Pack: The Hunt and The Strike Video Games. Both of these items are super fun and are perfect for snow days!
For the Wii, the Bass Pro Shops Outdoor Mega Pack contains two great games at one low price! The Hunt video game features the most realistic hunting experience available, bringing you to an amazing variety of huge North American landscapes. This game not only includes both big and small animals, but it also features aggressive predators and customizable weapons. When Chris first tried out this game, I had to laugh at him a bit. Being the hunter that he is, I expected him to start the game and breeze through it. However, he had some difficulties sighting the weapons in and finding the one he liked best. After that, he had no problems and enjoyed it. The Hunt controller is really neat, too!
The Strike: Tournament Edition is the closest you will ever get to tournament fishing without ever leaving the comfort of you own home. Competing against some of the world’s best anglers, The Strike takes you through ten tournaments, situated in North America’s premier fishing lakes. You are able to grab your favorite rod, reel and tackle box and get ready to enter the cutthroat world of competitive tournament fishing! The Strike gives you plenty of options and is tons of fun! Fishing from your couch has never been better!
When I first saw Fishin’-opoly from Bass Pro Shops, I had to laugh out loud! This game is just like the classic, only it has “Cast!” instead of start, “Bass Boat Bonanza” instead of Boardwalk and “Snag!” instead of jail. The playing pieces include a bass boat, old boot, can, fishin’ hat, worm and catfish and the cards are titled, “Fish in a Barrel” and Can O’ Worms”. This game is hilariously cute and tons of fun, especially if you have a fisherman among you! Fishin’-opoly can be played with 2-6 players and you can play the traditional play or 1 hour version (if you don’t want it to last all night). I thought Chris was competitive playing the classic version, but he is even more competitive with Fishin’-opoly from Bass Pro Shops!
