Find the Perfect Crib for your Nursery at New Baby Supply (An ATGStores.com Sister Site) Review & Giveaway

As soon as we found out we were expecting again, I began to plan the nursery in my head. Of course, we were looking to move so I didn’t know exactly what the nursery would look like, but I knew from the beginning that I wanted dark wood furniture. When we found out baby was a girl, I began browsing online for espresso cribs and when I landed on the Child Craft Logan Lifetime Convertible Crib at NewBabySupply.com (an ATGStores.com sister site), I knew that I had found the one!

Logan Crib

When I found out that I was being sent the Child Craft Logan Lifetime Convertible Crib in Jamocha from NewBabySupply.com to review, saying that I was overjoyed would be an understatement! I was elated! Immediately, I began to do the nursery furniture placement in my head and quickly started thinking about decor ideas. Then, when the crib arrived, I made C put it together as soon as he could!

The Child Craft Logan Lifetime Convertible Crib from NewBabySupply.com arrived in a timely manner, but the box was in poor shape. The side of the box was ripped open and the fact that it was a bit damp (from being transported from the truck to our carport in the rain- something that couldn’t be helped), had me a bit worried about it’s condition. However, much to my surprise, we opened the box to find the crib packaged very well and without a scratch on it!

Before we got started assembling the crib, we laid out all of the pieces and did a quick read through of the instructions. A few minutes into the process, we learned that the parts weren’t labeled A, B or C, just R or L for right and left. That immediately started a panic in me, but C said that we would just take our time and go off of the pictures. Of course, that calm and cool attitude didn’t last long!

After a bit of discussion on which part was which, we started assembling the crib and things were going rather smoothly until we realized that the warning stickers (on the side parts) were placed in the wrong spot. Normally, this wouldn’t be a big issue, but the fact that the instructions specifically stated to go by the sticker placement, caused it to be. We went against the sticker placement on the side rails and assembled the crib according to the pictures, which ended up being correct.

(That extra part in the corner is part of the toddler bed and we plan on storing it under the crib for right now.)

When the Child Craft Logan Lifetime Convertible Crib started to look more like a crib and less like spare parts, I really began to get excited! All I kept thinking was, “This is where our baby girl is going to sleep!”. Which, of course, annoyed C because he was having a hard time screwing the mattress support (which has two height adjustments!) into the crib because of the tight space between the slats. Luckily, I have smaller hands than he does so I took over the Allen wrench and just let him focus on making sure each screw was nice and tight when I was finished. I did want to note that the instructions have you place the extra screws (for the toddler conversion) into the empty holes and that ended a bit time consuming, but after everything was finished I think we had it together in about an hour and a half. Not too bad since we didn’t have labeled parts!

(Of course, this isn’t the finished product. We are moving the crib to another wall and I still have to wash and iron the bedding, etc.)

The Child Craft Logan Lifetime Convertible Crib from NewBabySupply.com is really beautiful when assembled. The contemporary style goes great in baby girls nursery and the Jamocha color (which is basically espresso) is warm and inviting. After we got it assembled, C did the “shake test” and we found that the crib is really solid and sturdy – which is a good thing when it is where your child will be sleeping for the first years of his or her life! I have to admit, the Logan Lifetime Convertible Crib looks like it would cost a lot more than it actually does!

Logan Full Size

Not only is the Logan Lifetime Convertible Crib a crib, but it also converts into a toddler bed (it does come with the conversion kit) and into a full size bed (the rails can be purchased separately). I love this feature because it ultimately saves you money in the long-run and should last you for years to come. The Logan Lifetime Convertible Crib is truly beautiful and looks great in Baby Girl’s nursery! Now, I can’t wait for her to get her so she can try it out!
