Boy or Girl? IntelliGender Gender Prediction Test Results (Review & Giveaway)

IntelliGender LogoIt’s no secret that I am super anxious to find out whether baby #2 is a boy or a girl. Unfortunately, our big ultrasound is still three weeks away and I am starting to go a little bit crazy. Plus, having tried several old wives tales that each ended in conflicting results hasn’t helped either. So, after doing some research on the IntelliGender Gender Prediction Test, I knew I had to try it out!
IntelliGender TestIntelliGender’s Gender Prediction Test is a simple-to-use at home urine test that provides immediate gender results. This affordable urine analysis works by using first morning urine with a proprietary mix of chemicals which reacts with a combination of hormones to indicate the gender of your baby. If the test turns orange, that indicates a girl. If it turns green, that means boy. IntelliGender is great for curious, expectant mothers and can be used as early as 10 weeks pregnant.

IntelliGender generously sent me a Gender Prediction Test to review. The test, which includes a test jar, syringe and instructions, is simple to use but the directions must be followed exactly to provide an accurate result. For example, you must use first morning urine, refrain from unprotected intercourse 48 hours prior to testing and the test is not recommended for women who suffer from PCOS.

To get started, you collect your first mornings urine in a clean disposable cup, just like with a pregnancy test. Then, remove the sticky tab from the top of the test jar and use the included syringe to collect 20 ml’s of urine. Gently insert the urine into the hole on the jar and swirl rapidly for 10 seconds. After that, place the test on a flat, white surface and read the results at the 5 minute mark.

After I followed those instructions and waited 5 minutes, the test turned green which indicates BOY! Now, I’m not rushing out to by blue paint and start decorating the nursery, but it will be fun to see if the test is right when we have our ultrasound. According to the IntelliGender website, independent studies have shown that the Gender Prediction Test has an accuracy rate of 87.6%-89.55%, so who knows? The IntelliGender Gender Prediction Test was fun to use and I am now more anxious to find out the gender than before! I can’t wait to see if it was right!

Buy It: IntelliGender’s Gender Prediction Test ($27.99) can be purchased online and at CVS, Babies R Us, Walgreens and Rite Aid.
