Ditch the Disposables and go Reusable with Citizenpip (Review + Giveaway)

Citizenpip logoWhile school days are still a distant vision for Princess P, there are still times when she needs a packed lunch. Take long road trips and visits with friends for example, I always like to have something on hand that is nutritious and yummy. That is why I am loving the waste-free lunch gear from Citizenpip.
Soup to nuts kitCreated by a mom of three who found herself packing and tossing out a few too many plastic baggies one day, Citizenpip offers an easy alternative to the disposable lunch. With a complete line of reusable, muck-free lunch gear and kits, Citizenpip makes it fun for kids and easy for parents to ditch the disposables and go reusable. And at Citizenpip, waste-free goes hand in hand with muck-free. That is why each item is lead, BPA and Phthalates free!

I have to admit, that when I first saw the insulated lunch bags from Citizenpip, I was relieved to find fun and unique styles that are different from the cartoon lunch totes that many major retailers carry. And depending on your needs, you can purchase the lunch bags separately or in a kit that comes with everything your child would need for a delicious lunch.

Citizenpip very generously sent Princess P the Patchwork Starter Kit to review. This very handy kit comes with a insulated lunch bag, one stainless steel water bottle and 4 airtight food containers that are perfect for packing everything from a turkey and cheese sandwich to fruit and crackers. And you can rest assured that your child’s lunch will arrive in the same condition as you packed it because each of the containers are absolutely airtight and leakproof!

One of the first things I noticed about the Citizenpip Starter Kit, aside from its unique style and handiness, was the price ($42). I’m not going to lie, I was like that is way too much to pay for a lunch bag and containers. But after pricing out the individual items and factoring in the durability of each item, the Citizenpip Start Kit is competitively priced. Plus, some of the other lunch items you can purchase are not BPA or Phthalates free, so I had rather pay more for items that I know are safe for Princess P to use.

Buy It: You can purchase the Starter Kit on the Citizenpip website for $42
