If you have read my blog the least little bit, then you know that I love to shop for children’s clothing. It always makes my day when I find an adorable outfit or two for Princess P. In fact, she probably has more clothes in her closet than I do! But a lot of times, I get tired of shopping at the same retail stores because when we head to the playground, all the other kids have on the same outfit!
I was recently browsing the internet for cute and unique children’s clothing when I came across My Vintage Baby Direct. Intrigued by what I saw on the first page, I clicked on the Shop MVD link and I was taken to the Spring 2010 catalog. There, I found a wide selection of girls and boys clothing in a variety of different prints and designs. After looking through several pages on the My Vintage Baby Direct site, I was totally in love!
Six years ago, My Vintage Baby was derived from a pretty simple concept. Two friends, who are also moms, got together and created a company. They worked their tails off to form the brand and their hard work definitely paid off. Over the years, My Vintage Baby made its way into Nordstrom, Bloomingdales, Neiman Marcus and over 800 high end boutiques. After the two moms realized what a hassle it was to pack-up and take a baby to the mall, they changed the way they did business. They created the ultimate personal shopping experience by hosting Trunk Shows in hostesses homes. Now, you can shop for boutique clothing in a fun and relaxed environment!
I recently had the chance to see first-hand the quality of My Vintage Baby’s clothing when they sent Princess P several items to review. When browsing through their online catalog, one of the first things that caught my eye was the Anchors Away Babyset. I just loved the pink and lavender colors intertwined with the nautical inspired design. When the outfit arrived, I was not disappointed!
The colorful top is adorned with two accent bows on the shoulders complete with rhinestone buckles on each side. The empire-waist belt and rhinestone buckle on the top not only adds fun, but also adds a more tailored look. There are also two ruffles, one pink and one purple, above the hem of the shirt. The bottoms come complete with a ruffled hem and three rows of ruffles across the back. The waist also has adjustable sides that allows for a custom fit. I was a bit worried about washing the top for fear that some of the rhinestones would fall out. But, when I took the top out of the washing machine, I was pleasantly surprised not to find any missing. Anyway, if one does come out, you can replace it with the extra rhinestones that are sent with the shirt.
The other outfit that My Vintage Baby Direct sent for us to review is the Vintage Party 2 piece set. This garden-inspired set features a white top that is accented with a bright and bold flower. The whimsical flower has leopard detail and sparkling rhinestones throughout. The capri pants feature a feminine bouquet print, white ruffles and leopard bows on each side. These pants also feature adjustable sides. This set definitely screams summer to me with its rich green and pink hues and its unique floral print. Princess P looks so adorable in the outfit and she gets tons of compliments whenever she wears it out!
