Review & Giveaway

When Princess P was born I had no idea that the toys she would play with everyday could be detrimental to her health. After sifting through her toy box I was left wondering which one’s were really safe. While searching for safe, non-toxic toys was brought to my attention. offers everything from organic cotton plush toys to wooden pull toys. They also only carry toys from manufacturers that place the utmost importance on quality and safety like HABA and ImagiPLAY brands. has taken out all of the leg-work for parents by spending countless hours themselves looking for some of the best toys around.

We are very selective in choosing the toys that we carry. First, we generally stay away from toys made from plastics. Second, all toys must be non-toxic, phthalate -free, and contain no harmful chemicals. Third, all toys must pass very stringent American and/or European testing standards. Fourth, all toys must be made from the highest quality materials and fabrics. Additionally, many of our toys are hand-made and/or made in small-production batches. They also may be made from recycled or sustainable materials.

Since Princess P loves to help me cook (i.e. pull out everything in the cabinets and hand it to me at the most inopportune times) I knew that she was going to love the Melissa & Doug Magnetic Kitchen Bottle Collection that ecoTimeToys offered us to review. When it arrived she was eager to open the package and started playing with the bottle collection immediately. She quickly learned that each lid came off and then easily went back on. It wasn’t long before she had all of the color coded lids mixed up. But she was having a blast!

The Magnetic Kitchen Bottle Collection will keep her entertained for a good 10 -15 minutes before she even looks up. She has also gotten better at matching the bottle color to the lid color. The bottle collection is hand crafted from select hardwood and non-toxic dyes and it is hand-sanded for a smooth finish. I love this bottle collection almost as much as Princess P does. She thinks she is just having fun playing but it is really helping her develop fine motor skills and color matching. is your one stop shop this holiday season. You can find Towel Dolls for the littlest one on your list or gift the Learn-to-Play Piano for the older ones. Either way, I am sure you will find just what you are looking for at!
